Our November meeting was full of projects: completed projects made by our guild members, many of whom had recently been on quilting retreats, and project ideas of quick, easy gifts to make for Christmas and holiday gifts. (Thank you, Peggy, Barb, and Vida for your tutorials!) You can see the completed projects in the photo gallery below and find online tutorials for the measuring tape purse, wristlet, and snowmen pincushions by clicking on the links. But don’t be limited to those! Each site has many more ideas available, and there are many other blogs and sites with other good ideas. Take advantage of them!
Our December meeting will be our annual Christmas/Holiday Dinner. We’ll be meeting on Friday, December 2nd at the Corning Country Club at 6:30. If you have not already paid to reserve your place, please send your check to Anita by Friday, November 25. Her address was included in the minutes and membership roster that were mailed out just a few days ago. Rather than exchange FQs or ornaments, we ask that you bring a few dollars to contribute to the Painted Post Food Pantry. Remember that the church allows us to meet there free of charge and only asks that in return we support the Food Pantry. You can be sure that your money will go toward a good cause.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. Remember–there is always something for which we can be thankful!
